TRANSCRIPT

In the wake of corruption in the Church, many Catholics have become disheartened at the sheer magnitude of it all.

Church Militant's Kristine Christlieb highlights one group of Catholics who will not be bullied by bishops.

As they do every week, Church Militant's Chicago Resistance members stood outside of Holy Name Cathedral at 10 a.m. this past Sunday.

The group is partnering with entities like the Coalition for Canceled Priests and the Lepanto Institute.

They're praying for Cdl. Blase Cupich to:

The cardinal's reputation as "worst" cardinal in the country doesn't go without cause.

He's infamous for selling off Church property. For example, in 2017, Cupich sold an entire block for $115 million, allowing for the development of luxury apartments and businesses.

Rich Concaildi, Resistance regional captain: "[There's] too much corruption, too much land grab. They are not being good shepherds, and they need to be better shepherds than they are and fear God more than they fear their fellow man."

Although the corruption in the Church seems undefeatable, it's important to remember the Resistance motto: Restoring Christendom one soul at a time.
