Homosexualist bishop named cardinal

June 1, 2022  0

The Vatican announced over the weekend Pope Francis will appoint as a cardinal yet another pro-sodomy, theologically leftist U.S. bishop.

Church Militant's Dr. William Mahoney explores how the upcoming appointment is both a political and a theological statement.

Bp. Robert McElroy: "The vision of pastoral theology embraced by Pope Francis is a rejection of the tradition ... . "

San Diego's Bp. Robert McElroy, one of the most outspoken advocates for sodomy and the so-called seamless garment theory, is getting a pat on the back by Pope Francis in August.

Some are interpreting the move as the Holy Father's answer to the ongoing dissent from Catholic teaching among bishops.

Abp. Salvatore Cordileone: "These are not the easiest times to be a priest in our country."

San Francisco's Abp. Salvatore Cordileone announced on May 20 that pro-child murder activist Nancy Pelosi would be denied Holy Communion for her anti-Catholic abortion stance.

McElroy had previously commented that blocking pro-abortion Catholic politicians from receiving Holy Communion "will bring tremendously destructive consequences — not because of what it says about abortion but because of what it says about the Eucharist."

He added, "[T]he Eucharist is being weaponized and deployed as a tool in political warfare. This must not happen."

At the November 2019 meeting of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, McElroy claimed holding abortion as a central issue is discordant with Francis' teachings.

During his papacy, Pope Francis has raised the most ultra-progressive, pro-sodomy bishops and archbishops to the College of Cardinals.

In 2016, he gave the red hat to archbishops Blase Cupich and Joseph Tobin, along with bishop Kevin Farrell, then, in 2020, to Washington D.C. archbishop Wilton Gregory.

Ex-papal ambassador Abp. Carlo Viganò, wrote of McElroy in 2018 that his appointment was "orchestrated from above." But, if anything, the order to appoint wicked prelates like these comes from below.

The common thread among all of Pope Francis' cardinal appointments is they're all linked to serial sodomite abuser Theodore McCarrick. McElroy knew about McCarrick's predation but did nothing.
