The World’s Most Dangerous Idea

If you've ever read Genesis, you know the serpent tempted Eve, telling her if she ate the fruit, she would be like God.

In a two-part In-Depth Report, Church Militant's Kristine Christlieb explains the latest variation of this temptation. 

Natasha Vita-More, Executive Director, Humanity+ Inc.: "The transhumanism philosophy is looking at overcoming some of these elements of the condition that hinder us or limit us in becoming more humane people."

Natasha Vita-More, author of the first version of the "Transhumanist Manifesto," recently was interviewed by Forbes magazine. 

The piece shamelessly promotes the idea of transhumanism but includes this useful definition: "Transhumanism is the idea that technology and evidence-based science can and should be used to augment and improve humans in order to overcome the limitations that evolution has left us with."

Steven Mosher, president, Population Research Institute:

So the idea that "you shall be as God" — that we should take control of our own destiny by using modern genetic engineering to somehow improve ourselves over God's perfect design for humanity — has been around for a long time. Unfortunately, now we're getting to the point where we can actually attempt to do it. It will be crude and cruel, and it will kill and injure and damage enormous numbers of people, which perhaps may be its goal.

Transhumanism is being broadly advanced by a number of the global elite, including Martin Rothblatt, cofounder of Sirius XM Satellite Radio and author of From Transgender to Transhuman.

Rothblatt: "Everybody in the world — billions of people — will be able to develop mind clones of themselves that they'll have their own life on the web." 

Rothblatt, who now goes by Martine, has a new venture — recycling pig organs for transplantation in humans.

Rothblatt:

It's actually not rocket science. It's straightforward engineering away one gene after another. We're so lucky to be born in the time that the sequencing [of] genomes is a routine activity. And the brilliant folks at Synthetic Genomics are able to zero in on the pig genome, find exactly the genes that are problematic and fix them.

In an ominous development, the World Health Organization in December named Dr. Jeremy Farrar its new chief scientist for global health.

Farrar founded global health organization Wellcome Leap, which is wholly focused on transhumanist research.

No one would want to hinder the development of medical technologies that can help people live longer and healthier lives, but the line is crossed when humanity's uniqueness is abandoned.

In September, Biden's Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology said, effectively, Americans must surrender all human rights that stand in the way of transhumanism.
