Hello everyone. We hope your Christmas is holy, happy and healthy. And don't forget — Christmas joy cannot be contained to just one day; it overflows into eight days.
For us here at Church Militant, our joy is increased by the celebration of the 10-year anniversary of our sister St. Michael's Media. Our apostolate began 10 years ago, if you can believe it, and we wanted to share our excitement with you.So this week, we are showing you some quick scenes from behind the scenes of the apostolate — most especially our chapel. This video was shot before the Christmas season.
We'll show what it looks like now, for the birth of Our Lord, on Friday. For now, we dedicated our chapel to St. Michael the Archangel, and he is represented three different times: first, the plaque over the entrance announcing his presence; second, the 3-D framed image of him which hangs in the sanctuary, compliments of a very generous supporter (thank you again); and lastly, the spectacular statue of him above the doors visible on the way out. It's a ferocious image — as it should be.
We obviously have a great devotion to St. Michael here, which is why almost 10 years ago, our very first program ever recorded was "The One True Faith" episode "St. Michael and the Angels." It was the first of 118 episodes of that program. All of this for the greater glory of God and Holy Mother Church.
So, as we show you a behind-the-scenes look at things here and take a stroll down memory lane, we want to thank you for all your prayers and offerings. We'd also like to ask you if you're able to help us continue our work here with an end-of-the-year tax-deductible gift, we'd be extremely grateful.
We do an awful lot here each year — actually staggering amounts of work — and none of it would really be possible without your continued financial support. As you know, we live in a material world where things break down, need updating, and so forth, and in this extremely costly technological world St. Michael's Media is in up to our eyeballs every day, bills quickly mount up. So, if you are able to make a financial offering, please just click on the donate button.
And please know that we pray for our benefactors every day here in our chapel during Morning and Evening Prayer. God love you and thank you for whatever help you can give.
