The Vortex—Put Up or Shut Up

I'm Michael Voris coming to you from Rome.

It seems almost impossible to imagine, but as events unfold, it appears that the weapon that will be used against the Church in the coming persecution is going to be the political correctness of militant homosexuality: militant homosexuality vs. THE Church Militant.

Who could have seen this coming as recently as just 20 years ago?

But it is the most likely of scenarios. The homosexual militants are advancing on every stage, and since their work is the work of the diabolical, it is not difficult to identify who their master is. Satan wants the Catholic Church destroyed, removed from the scene. Many naïve, indifferent or lukewarm Catholics don't comprehend this because their faith has all but disappeared.

In fact, many Catholics, including some bishops, think the Church should actually accommodate the sin of homosexual marriage or recognize the "gifts and qualities" that homosexuals can contribute to the Church. One by one, governments around the world, led by wicked men, are legalizing this sin, and the militant homosexuals are predictably taking their cue from such laws and intimidating those who don't agree with them and won't support their evils.

From bakeries to pizzerias, to wedding planners, businesses are being attacked and marginalized. Large companies in the United States are preparing employees to accept the new homofascist creed or find another job. Schools are now in high gear teaching children the joys and normality of homosexuality. If you can't see what's coming, then you are willfully blind.

Of course, these are all just means to surround and cut off the Church — to isolate Her, to demonize Her, if you will. And because the culture has been prepared for all these decades now to accept illicit sex as the new normal, this plan will work.

In his book Faith and the Future, Pope Benedict, writing as Cardinal Ratzinger, surveyed the landscape and saw dark clouds forming on the horizon.

From the crisis of today the Church of tomorrow will emerge — a Church that has lost much. She will become small and will have to start afresh more or less from the beginning. She will no longer be able to inhabit many of the edifices she built in prosperity. As the number of her adherents diminishes, so will she lose many of her social privileges.

This is the central truth that so many Catholics are failing to grasp. The sins of the faithful are going to be punished; the temporal price must be paid for the lack of faithfulness, the infidelity of those who denied the Faith in our daily lives through the sin of lukewarmness. This will come in the form of persecution, no doubt about it. God, in His abundant mercy, will allow us to stand up and declare for Him again — to right the record, so to speak, for the times when we didn't declare for Him. Only this time, there will be a price to pay for declaring. Jobs will be lost, position in society will be lost, much of the earthly wealth of the Church will be lost.

All this is fitting, though. It was through the sins of the flesh that so many Catholics gave up the intimate practice of their faith, so the consequences of the sins of the flesh are what will be visited on the Church as Her scourge. The acceptance of contraception had led to the evil of the acceptance of sodomy, and it is this that Our Blessed Lord will use to force His followers to make their choice. Catholics will declare for Christ of they will declare for the culture. Many will apostatize, including many clergy. Many, in fact are already living in a state of apostasy, so their choice will be the logical extension of their current lives.

You must begin to prepare yourselves by asking Our Blessed Lord for the grace of final perseverance. We must beg for this grace every day so that when this all breaks on the Church, we will be fortified to stand fast in the Faith.

We have known persecution before and we have survived, but only because we lived lives close to Our Blessed Lord. We each now need to begin to increase in holiness, in sanctification. Ask Our Blessed Lord and His Holy Mother for this grace.

Coming to you from the Eternal City at St. Peter's Square, this is Michael Voris for
