I'm Michael Voris coming to you from just outside Tel Aviv, Israel on the first day of production for our documentary on the Eucharist.
As we continue to assess the ongoing damage to the Holy Catholic Church — which began here in Israel 2,000 years ago — it must be admitted that the bottom line, ultimate issue is a lack of supernatural faith within the clergy — and specifically a lack of faith in the Real Presence of Our Blessed Lord in the Eucharist.
This is the reason so many men like Fr. James Martin, Cardinals Blase Cupich and Donald Wuerl, Joseph Tobin — along with many many others — can openly advocate for sacrilegious Holy Communion for adulterers, active homosexuals and child-killing politicians.
They each have a severely twisted theology regarding the Blessed Sacrament — which is the center of the Catholic faith.
And they are enabled in their evil by the silence and cowardice and of so many other prelates and priests who offer not one public word of defense Our Sacramental Lord.
From the Blessed Sacrament, all the other sacraments find their meaning; they all center around worthy reception of the Holy Eucharist.
And it was here in this land that Our Blessed Lord first presented Himself under the appearance of bread and wine, just as He presented Himself veiled in flesh to the first-century inhabitants here.
In fact, the history of not just the Church, but of humanity, has been the incremental revelation of Christ in His sacramental form.
The Holy Trinity is outside of time, so what appears to us in time as an unfolding of events is actually, for God, a backwards movement.
The end is actually first, and then events unfold — so to speak — in reverse.
Consider, for example, Our Lord's life. His Passion and death was the point of His life, so that is what set the course for His earthly life. The Cross cast its long shadow backwards in time over His life, all the way to even the wooden feeding trough in the stable at Bethlehem — all things which appeared to be unfolding, moving forward in time, which actually scaled in reverse, leading to a designated end.
The end — the Passion — was actually the beginning with God. Such is the reality with the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
Being outside of time, He orders time and its events to their end. And such is the case with Eucharist. God chose this land and this people to bring Himself to our souls, to establish a Church that would call Him down from Heaven for us to feed on Him. So in the divine order, for His people to consume His Body and Blood was always the plan, the end.
And it all began here, which is why Church Militant has come to Israel, to help make this final end reality more present to faithful Catholics and to help counteract the despicable, sacrilegious treatment He receives from so many of His ministers in the Church.
Church Militant will be here in Israel for a little more than a week in production for what we hope will be a very instructive and meditative documentary on the heart of the Faith, produced in the land where it all began.
