Episcopal Carpet Bombing

God damns their signatures.

TRANSCRIPT

I'm Fr. James Altman from La Crosse, Wisconsin, and I'm happy to be guest hosting today's Vortex. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Dear family, it always is good to begin by invoking the Holy Trinity when entering into battle, and we are in a battle for eternal souls.

I'm coming to you from the studios of Church Militant, headquartered in the archdiocese of Detroit. For about 15 years, this archdiocese and Abp. Allen Vigneron have persecuted this apostolate for nothing more than teaching and preaching the truth. I have now had my own experience of that very thing when Allen Vigneron worked behind the scenes trying to prevent me from speaking to a private group this week.

Well, people living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Why don't you clean up your own chancery, Allen, instead of wasting your time worrying about me? What you've done to Fr. Perrone is a disgrace. What you allowed members of your chancery to do to that holy priest is a disgrace. And yes, I am ready, willing and able to inform the people about that disgrace.

Be wary, dear family, when the modernist liturgists come at you with some sweet-sounding change.

So get it straight, Allen, and listen up. I'll teach you the same lesson I had to teach Blase Cupich. I don't need his permission to speak at a conference any more than I need permission to speak to Church Militant or in any other building not owned by the Church.

But you go right ahead because you make my job easier. Every move you make only confirms what the truly faithful know about the state of most chanceries in the United States. Faithful of Detroit, stand up and defend your priests from the likes of this kind of bishop, this kind of oppression. It is time the faithful finally said, "Enough is enough."

And I know truly faithful Catholics know their enemy. The last 50 years, the last 20 years and, particularly, the last 18 months have revealed our enemy with staggering clarity — and it is not an enemy from outside the Catholic Church. It is the enemy within.

And so we implore the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. He is one God, of Whom we were constantly reminded until some modernist tried to change the words of the Collect because, after 2,000 years, the concept of one God has become confusing to everyone. It is a proposition made with not even a scintilla of evidence.

Be wary, dear family, when the modernist liturgists come at you with some sweet-sounding change: The Lord God commanded worship in a specific way and yes, Virginia, God damns those who mess with His commands.

So let us pray to Him, the one God, the only God, to come to our assistance, to make haste to help us as we discern clearly the wolves in sheep's clothing who had only one job to do: Save our eternal souls. But they not only fail to lead us to our salvation, now they knowingly, willingly and intentionally do everything they can to lead us to Hell.

And yes, dear family, I'm talking about more than 60 men wearing miters here in the United States who very publicly signed a letter seeking a delay on a dialogue set for this June on the godless, sacrilegious practice of handing out the Holy Eucharist like Halloween candy to pro-abort politicians.

And just so we're clear on this, the fault for this sacrilege lies not with just the bishops who signed it, but with every single one of the others who did not condemn their signatures. As you know, I say all the time, "God gave us a brain and He expects us to use it." This issue, however, is a no-brainer.

Cardinal Arinze said it best when asked whether pro-abortion politicians should receive Holy Communion:

Do you really need a cardinal from the Vatican to answer that? Ask the children receiving their First Communion and say to them, "Somebody votes for the killing of unborn babies and says he will vote for that every time. And these babies are killed — not just one or two — but by the millions." And that person says, "I am a practicing Catholic." Should that person receive Holy Communion? The children will answer that at a drop of a hat. You don't need a cardinal to answer that.

Dear family, we do not have to be theologians to figure it out. We just have to use the brains of a second-grader. We can only conclude that those 60-plus bishops of this country have been educated into imbecility because they can't figure out what a second-grader knows: We do not commit sacrilege against the Body of Christ.

These bishops dared to sign a letter written to the chair of the USCCB, Abp. José Gómez, urging him to delay the debate about whether pro-abortion Catholic politicians should receive Holy Communion. Notable signatories include the usual suspects: Cdl. Wilton Gregory, Cdl. Sean O'Malley and Cdl. Blase Cupich.

Indeed, the letter was sent on letterhead from Wilton Gregory's archdiocese in Washington, D.C. The letter comes as the USCCB is scheduled to meet for a virtual general assembly next month, because, of course, they won't meet in person. At this assembly, the USCCB is expected to vote on a draft document that would recommend that pro-abortion Catholic politicians not receive Holy Communion. Yes, you heard me correctly: It would make a recommendation.

That is how absolutely pathetic the USCCB is and the state of the majority of the episcopacy in the United States. But the pathetic imbecility does not stop there.

Cardinal Luis Ladaria, a high-ranking Vatican official who serves as the prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, responded to Gómez in a May 7 letter that was secretly composed by Cupich and others stressing the need for the bishops to reach a consensus about a national policy on Communion for pro-abortion Catholic politicians before its implementation.

So these American bishops cited Ladaria's argument in their letter, maintaining that the "high standard of consensus among ourselves and of maintaining unity with the Holy See and the Universal Church as set forth by Cdl. Ladaria is far from being achieved in the present moment."

They also cited a desire to hold off on debating a new policy until the entire conference can meet in person. They suggested that the bishops gather in person regionally or by province to discuss the Ladaria letter before an upcoming meeting in September. The renewed interest in this debate is a result of Joe Biden (a fake Catholic much like Pelosi, Kerry and others who engage in abortion advocacy despite the fact that it directly contradicts the teachings of the Faith).

The Catholic Church's Code of Canon Law teaches that those who are "obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion." In fact, then-cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who would later become Pope Benedict XVI, noted in a 2004 letter to then-cardinal Theodore McCarrick and then-bishop Wilton Gregory (who each lied about the contents of his letter to their brother bishops) that the Church teaches that abortion or euthanasia is a grave sin.

Ratzinger quoted from the encyclical letter Evangelium Vitae, which states: "In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it or to take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of such a law or vote for it." Therefore, in short, if such a fake Catholic politician still presents himself to receive the Holy Eucharist, "the minister of Holy Communion must refuse to distribute it."

The Associated Press reported that even if the draft document is approved, "it would still leave decisions on withholding Communion up to local bishops," meaning the debate about whether to withhold Communion from pro-abortion Catholic politicians will continue, regardless of how the USCCB votes on the draft document.

Even before signing on to the letter expressing a desire to postpone the discussion about "Eucharistic worthiness," Wilton Gregory indicated that he does not believe that Biden's abortion advocacy should disqualify him from receiving Communion.

So let me summarize the abomination that is that letter:

  • God damns your signature on that letter, Wilton Gregory
  • God damns your signature on that letter, Blase Cupich
  • God damns your signature on that letter, Joseph Tobin
  • God damns your signature on that letter, Paul Etienne
  • God damns your signature on that letter, Robert McElroy

God damns every signature on that document. You disgrace the Catholic Church. You are apostates, for you have forsaken the true Catholic Church. And you do not have to take my word for it. Ask a second-grader. A second-grader knows what you do not. You cannot give the Holy Eucharist to a pro-abortion politician. Period.

Dear family, the faithful have had enough. Enough is enough. We are not leaving the Catholic Church.

Dear family, as we recently celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi, let us be of one mind and one prayer: Come, Lord Jesus come. Fashion your whip of cords and drive out of your Church Wilton Gregory and all the other bishops who dared to sign that document.

Dear family, the faithful have had enough. Enough is enough. We are not leaving the Catholic Church. We are asking Jesus to drive out those godless heathens who dare to support sacrilege of the Corpus Christi.
