Donations made via this form will be used in preference for our legal fees against the city of Baltimore. Excess donations will be used for general expenses.
Why is Mayor Brandon Scott of Baltimore supporting sex abuse and cover-up of it by the U.S. bishops? Why is the City Council going along with his decision to do so? Why is taxpayer money being used for this filth? Because that is exactly what is going on with this whole legal matter the city of Baltimore is engaging in to prevent our Nov. 16 "Bishops: Enough is Enough" rally from going forward.
Mayor Scott and the City Council are using every legal maneuver they can to stall this and just run out the clock. Church Militant won a preliminary injunction against Mayor Scott and the city that prevents them from impeding any further planning and moving forward by us.
Now, they have two things. This week, they have filed for a stay of the preliminary injunction, meaning they've asked the judge to freeze her own order. That decision will be very likely handed down sometime this week.
Mayor Scott, in his desperate attempt to shield child molesters and their cover-up activity, has also filed an appeal in the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia. That is expected to burn up this week and next week until the end of October and perhaps the first handful of days into November — as we said, just running out the clock.
All of this legal stalling is preventing the final execution of our contract with the company that manages the MECU Pavillion. They are being ensnared by the city in this filth of covering up sex abuse, and it's our bet they want nothing to do with it. But the city is preventing the contract from being executed through sneaky underhanded tactics.
We held this same prayer rally and conference back in 2018 in the exact same venue that the city now finds so repulsive; repulsive enough to hop in bed with the Bishops' Conference and its cover-up of sex abuse and theft of Catholics' money to cover it up and sweep it all under the rug.
To show you how little things have changed in the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, we're replaying my closing comments from 2018, made in the wake of the Theodore McCarrick revelations that the U.S. senior clergy knew and covered up.
Keep planning for Baltimore and praying. And if you are able to donate towards our mounting legal bills (which is another tactic of pro-sex abuse Scott: to win the money war with us), please click the donate button above.
